Brief The clients in this instance had a 1970’s ‘Bungalow Bliss’ house which was located at a rural site in North County Dublin. The brief was to extend the house and modernise the plan to meet the requirements of a 21st-century family. Budget The initial design budget for the project was €300,000. Vision The vision is to transform this house from contextless generic bungalow to a modern ‘barn’ home. Its form is directly inspired by its farmyard setting while complementing its rural context via a bold statement.
